After one night in Semporna Scuba Junkie arranged our boat trip to Mabul. The island of Mabul is a 45-60 min speed boat ride away from Semporna and it is the base camp of the dive shops that specialize in Sipadan. Mabul is known for its muck diving and there are indeed plenty of colourful nudibranches and elegant pipefishes in the water.
Have you Ever Heard the Question “But Where do Vegans get Their Protein From?”
We don’t believe that vegans are in danger of protein deficiency. It is true that the plant world has few sources of complete protein, like egg white. However, by eating a balanced and varied vegan diet, we easily get all the protein we need and more. The key words are “balanced” and “varied”.
The fame of Sipadan is well deserved. Diving here offers something that is rarely seen elsewhere, an exceptionally healthy reef and an untouched ecosystem as well as the opportunity to see some unique oddballs up close like the bumphead parrotfish.
For most people, a stay in Semporna is just a stepping stone on the way to the marvelous islands in the Semporna Archipelago. So our recommendation is stay as short as possible and find a place on one of the amazing islands around.
Relaxing for a few days on the beautiful Island Ko Similian 4 in the Ko Similian National Park.
If you are in Kuching don’t miss out the chance to see some semi-wild orangutans. It will take around half a day for the whole trip and it is truly an amazing experience to get close to (semi)-wild orangutans.
